Hades
Transmutation, release what doesn't serve, show the shadows
"Let winter clear the way for spring"
Hades most often comes through when I am doing Angel Intuitive readings. His message is that of letting go of what no longer serves you. To me he represents the physical aspect of this whereas Persephone represent the mental aspect. So, whenever Hades visits, I know that myself or the client that I might be reading for is holding onto something to the detriment of their spiritual growth. Hades is usually depicted as greedy and wanting nothing more than to collect souls, but his energy has always been peaceful and giving whenever he visits. We all have things we hold onto at one point or another that can keep us at a standstill. We often feel that letting go of these things means the end. Hades helps me to let go of the things that are holding me from moving into a new version of myself, he helps me to discover what aspects of my life have become outdated and need to die so their energy can be reborn into something new.

Hera
Loyalty, commitment through relationship issues
Although Hera's energy represents the capacity to be committed, bonded, loyal, and to endure difficulties with a partner. Her peacock's energy symbolises self-love, honour, integrity and the importance of facing the challenges of life and the unknowable with courage, confidence and balance. Hera usually comes through with her peacock at times when I am struggling to be who I am at heart. When I have situations come up that make me wonder if I would be better off simply playing a part that other people want me to play and getting on with life. Their energy supports me in taking back my personal power and having confidence that I am who I need to be. This of course doesn't mean that I don't have shadow aspects that I'm working on but their energy helps to take away some of the negative self-talk that doesn't need to be weighing me down. Her energy is particularly helpful in relationship challenges.

Odin
Wisdom, mystic, knowledge, battle victory
I have only had fleeting glimpses of Odin's energy; he pops in and out occasionally depending on what past energies I have been exploring and how they may be coming into play in my present life situation. His energy for me is similar to that of the spirit animal hawk. Where the hawk draws my attention to the fine details of the physical world around me, Odin's energy often symbolises that there are finer details that I am not seeing in regards to more esoteric type matters or past energies.

Ares
War, brutality, bloodlust, force and "Mad courage"
"Learn the rules of engagement for the battle ahead"
Deities often come with a strong, very commanding presence. It can be challenging to hold my own space whenever they visit. This is why the gatekeepers on my spirit team often temper down the presence of Deities until I know who has stepped forward and am ready to acknowledge and handle their presence. Ares true energy is one that I pray that myself and all of my loved ones can go their entire lives never having to evoke. That being said he does skirt the edges of my awareness when the need for a warning arises. This happened more than once on the same day during an expo I was attending. When people come for a reading they have the option to talk about their question or to keep it to themselves. It’s hard to speak aloud about things one might be struggling with. Spirit always gives them what they need. I don’t need to know the reason. I have however come to realise that Ares when steps close in my readings, it is for one of a two reasons. Either my client is facing a challenge that may directly or indirectly be leading to a risk of physical harm (could be an accident of sorts) or they are currently in a situation of current and continuing physical harm (such as domestic violence). Of the few times that Ares appeared over the weekend, I had two clients confirm that the energy was correct. One was a young woman whose was thinking of moving and her current plans included moving in with a family member who she confirmed were abusive (leading to) the other was a woman who was facing the challenge of her violent ex’s release from jail and Domestic violence (continued harm). In all the readings that Ares stepped forward popped up in the message from him was the same. “Learn the rules of engagement for the battle ahead.” His message is not to invoke his energy directly unless in imminent danger, but a reminder to seek the assistance of Athena in devising a way to prepare for the battle ahead ensure you know where your support system is and how to access that when needed, what resources you have around you. This can help us prepare ourselves for when we need to make decisions in the heat of the moment in accordance with the way others choose to play their game of life. Of course, life is never a walk in the park and plans don’t always go the way we want but its easier to trust in yourself when you walk with awareness and observation rather than stumble blindly through circumstances of fight or flight inducing situations.

Athena
Strategy in battle, leadership, wisdom
"To have peace one must prepare for war" & "Wisdom comes from the effective application of knowledge"
Most often, like two sides of a coin, when Ares visits so too does Athena. Her presence a preparation for the warning often foreshadowed by Ares. Her energy is that of intellectual vs Ares physical. Athena is planning to Ares action. In these cases, her message is akin to the saying “To have peace one must prepare for war.” It doesn’t mean everything will dissolve into blood shed and tears it just means that we stop and think enough to plan as far ahead as we can with what we can. It helps minimizing the situations in which we step into unprepared. When we are prepared, we can handle fear and chaos better. We know what we bring to the table and we know what our weak spots are. We can use what we know to play the game instead of being a pawn in someone else game. Athena doesn’t always appear in the context of tempering the energy of Ares. There have been times when I have experienced her energy with the message of “Wisdom is knowing how to use our knowledge in an effective manner.” She often steps forward in their context when I am struggling with believing in myself and what I have learnt through my life experiences so far. We’ve all faced many things in our lives. Some joyful some challenging. Athena’s energy often helps me to take what I have learnt from my past mistakes and to apply it to help my present circumstances. Life is a continuous cycle of success and failure until we learn whatever lesson we are here to be taught. The trick is not letting the failure blind you to the progress you’re making.

Aphrodite
Self love, romantic love, inner & outer beauty
"True beauty is built from within"
Usually, I get the message about self-love from my animal spirit Aiko. As I am trying to shift patterns from a past life. However occasionally Aphrodite will come through. I find she usually brings her message through when I need to pass it on to someone else. Our world has brainwashed us into thinking that beauty can only be measured from an outsiders opinion of us or that our self-worth is built on how much we can do for others and how fast. I find her energy often comes through when my clients have fallen into this trap and are struggling to find their way out. Aphrodite’s vibration helps us to remember that we need to go within and see what our own soul needs to feel vibrant and fulfilled. This is how we can fill our own inner cup. As the saying goes “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” She reminds us that we give our best when we feel our best. Aphrodite also challenges me to look at why I might be judging something about someone else. It’s often not because they are lacking but because I am looking at an aspect of myself within them that needs acknowledgement or correction. She helps me to look for the beauty of the mind and inner soul and how I can help my inner beauty radiate outwards.
